What is the HERA Community Portal?

HERA Community Portal is a multilingual online community platform dedicated to lifelong learning and digital empowerment for women aged 45 and above. It is co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ Programme and operated by AINIGMA Technologies BV, based in Leuven, Belgium. The platform supports 7 languages and offers learning resources, mentorship, community groups, events, and job opportunities.

Who can join HERA?

HERA is open to any person over the age of 18 who wishes to support or participate in the lifelong learning journey of women aged 45+. The platform especially welcomes women in that age group who are looking to reskill, connect with peers, find mentors, or explore new career opportunities.

How do I create an account?

To register, visit heracommunity.eu and click 'Create new account' on the Login screen. Provide a valid personal email address, choose a unique username, and tick the consent checkbox. You will receive a verification email, click the link inside to activate your account. The link is single-use; if you cannot find it, please check your spam folder.

Is HERA free to use?

Yes. The HERA Community Portal is a free platform supported by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union. There is no subscription fee required to register or access the core services of the portal.

How do AI Recommendations work?

The platform generates personalised learning and course recommendations based on information in your member profile, including your educational background, digital skills, green skills, learning goals, and interests. The more complete your profile, the more relevant your recommendations will be. You can update your profile at any time via the 'Edit profile' button.

How can I become a mentor on HERA?

During or after profile setup, navigate to the Mentorship section of your profile and option as a mentor. You will be asked to provide your professional title, area of expertise, years of experience, a skills description, and any supporting certification documents. Your mentor profile will then appear in the searchable mentor directory for other members to discover.

Can I post job opportunities on HERA?

Yes. Both individual members and organisations can post on the Job Opportunities board. By submitting a job posting, you confirm that the opportunity is genuine, accurate, and up to date. Any misleading or fraudulent listings may be removed and may result in account suspension in accordance with the HERA Terms and Conditions.

What should I do if I forget my password?

On the Login screen, use the password recovery option to request a reset link to your registered email address. If you suspect your account has been compromised, change your password immediately and notify the HERA team. Never share your password with anyone.

Can I change my username or email address?

You can manage your login credentials, including your email address and password, from the Security section of your profile. Your username, once chosen, is your unique identifier on the platform.
